25 miles out 2-20-10
« on: February 20, 2010, 07:03:06 PM »
Was 25 miles out today for a full day of catching.

Every drop produced a fish.  `1`
One of the best catching days in a while.

The weather was so so out there with clouds most of the day and a few showers.

I think we must have caught several hundred fish for the 3 of us in 5 hours of fishing.

Mostly grunts, snapper, trigger’s and a few groupers in the mix.

If you can make it out tomorrow or the next day, you should, before this next cold front blows through.

Sound like a great time.

Cant make it out, I sold my off shore boat and don't think I'm will go 20+ miles in my 18" bay boat.
Well at least not in the winter months.

Maybe in the summer when the gulf is like a lake out there.

I did go to Cabbage Key yesterday and there must have been at least 2'+ seas and the boat handled very good.

If you ever want to take me off shore, I'll take you inshore fishing.  ~4~
